GREEN CARDAMOM( Elaichi)

Cardamom (Elaichi)–

Adrish Cardamom has a pungent, warm flavour and an intense aroma. These pods can be used whole or freshly ground, in delicious beverages, and sweet or savoury dishes. The small green triangular pods have a thin outer shell containing black seeds. It is a lovely aromatic spice, with a lovely green colour.

Cardamom pods are often used whole or ground for spice blends and baked goods. Use a mortar & pestle to grind pods, either on their own or with other dried or fresh spices. Add whole pods directly to savoury dishes whilst cooking. Cardamom is an essential ingredient for Masala chai and is also delicious in fresh coffee.

It is the world’s third most expensive spice by weight, but little is needed to impart its wonderful flavour. Very high in dietary fibers, calcium, potassium and protein, cardmom is a whole spice seed which treats intestinal spasms, kills bacteria, reduces swelling, and helps the immune system as well.
